The answer is yes. You can afford college. And you can afford to attend CSU-Pueblo. In fact, CSU-Pueblo is the most affordable university in Colorado. In fact, we recently announced a significant new initiative for Colorado residents:
As part of its role and mission to provide Colorado students with access to higher education, CSU-Pueblo historically has tried to ensure that financial challenges not prevent any undergraduate Colorado student who is admitted to the University from attending. Continuing in this tradition, Colorado State University-Pueblo is formalizing its Commitment to Colorado by making this promise: Starting in Fall 2011 students who receive a federal Pell Grant and have a family Adjusted Gross Income of less than $50,000 (and who meet other eligibility requirements) will receive grant funds from federal, state, and University sources to cover at least 100% of the student share of base tuition and mandatory student fees. Other grant funds such as Pell Grants will be counted against tuition and mandatory fees first and Commitment to Colorado Funds will be used whenever other grant funds are not sufficient to cover tuition and mandatory fees.
Getting a college degree is an important investment in your future. The earnings potential you’ll have once you complete your degree makes getting your diploma well worth your time and money.

Don’t be overwhelmed! As an undergraduate or graduate student, there are lots of ways to help cover these costs. You can take out a loan, do work-study, get a scholarship or grant…or any combination of these. We’re here to help you explore all the possibilities – here are some places to start:
Financial Aid – this is based on your financial need and is available in the form of grants (do not need to be repaid), work-study employment, and low interest loans (must be repaid)
Scholarships – these are based on your academic merit and/or service in the community and do not need to be repaid
Incentive Programs - These tuition discounts are offered to students according to where you live and do not need to be repaid. Colorado students – make sure you find out about the Colorado College Opportunity Fund!
Graduate Assistantships - A limited number of Graduate Assistantships are available each year. Students should contact their Graduate Program Director for application instructions.
