Jump Start
Jump Start is a full-time, residential bridge program that teaches students how to succeed in college. Over a five-week period, incoming freshmen will begin their college career early by living on campus in our new residence halls, taking classes, and participating in learning skill development and outdoor pursuit activities.
CSU - Pueblo has developed this comprehensive program to run from July 9 through August 12, 2011 at a total cost of $3,310 for tuition and fees, room and board. Financial aid is available for students who qualify.
Students will earn up to nine credits in coursework suitable for each student level of preparation. That coursework includes US 101--Academic and Career Explorations, an appropriate Math or History class, an appropriate English or Psychology class, and a comprehensive (and fun) Outdoor Pursuits class. Summer School Bundles
Our Bundles offer an opportunity to take several summer school classes together from July 11 to August 12 and help you become familiar with campus before the fall semester. Students may also take advantage of discounts on books, food, and lodging in Belmont Hall, but students are not required to live on-campus, making the Bundles a great opportunity for local students.
For the General Education Bundle, students will earn nine hours (three classes at three credit hours each) in five weeks. Courses available include Psych 151--Introduction to Human Development, Eng 130--Introduction to Literature, Math 109--Mathematical Explorations, or Exhp 162 and Lab--Personal Health.
The College Preparatory Bundle includes two or three classes for six to seven credit hours in the following courses: Eng 099--Foundational Practices in Writing, Rdg 099--Developmental Reading Skills, Math 091--Special Topics, and US 101--Academic and Career Exploration.
Students may mix courses from the two bundles as needed.
