Incentive Programs

Whether you’re from Colorado or Texas, a Western Undergraduate Exchange student or an international student, there are tuition incentives available to you.

Colorado Residents

Resident tuition rates apply to eligible Colorado resident undergraduate students. For detailed information regarding residency click here.  As a resident you also receive a stipend to help cover the cost of tuition. To receive this funding, you must apply through the College Opportunity Fund.

WUE

We are proud to participate in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), a program of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE)

What does this mean to you? You could save a lot of money by taking advantage of reduced out-of-state tuition fees if you are a resident of one of the participating states.

Here’s how it works. If you currently reside in one of the WICHE states (see below), you may enroll at CSU-Pueblo at a reduced tuition rate. These tuition rates are considerably less than non-resident rates.

WICHE states include the following:

 Alaska    New Mexico
 Arizona    North Dakota
 California    Oregon
 Hawaii    South Dakota
 Idaho    Utah
 Montana    Washington
 Nevada    Wyoming

 To be eligible, you must:

  • Reside in a WICHE state
  • Be a first-time freshmen
  • Meet CSU-Pueblo’s admission criteria
  • Have completed two years at a high school in your home WICHE state prior to graduation

You are also eligible if you are a:

  • Transfer student from two-year or four-year institution with a minimum 2.3 GPA
  • GED recipient

ThunderWolf Tuition Rate

 Living Learning Incentive Discount

Non resident students, WUE students, and ThunderWolf Rate students are also eligible to receive a $2,000 per year Living Learning Incentive discount as long as they live on campus in one of the residence halls or University Village at Walking Stick.

International Students

The University awards incentives to international students as a combination of grant and student employment.  Generally, the amount awarded increases each year the international student is enrolled.  In all cases, students must complete the University scholarship application.  For further information, contact international programs at 719.549.2895 or by email at  intprog@csuueblo.edu.

Graduate Students

Certain incentives may be available to graduate students.  Prospective graduate students should contact the Graduate Advisor for the graduate program they wish to enter for specific information about graduate assistantships.  In all cases, students must complete the University scholarship application
